At Hadley we create fun, artistic products to bring a little joy to your everyday.

Design and creativity drives us at Hadley HQ and makes us extremely happy! That happiness shines through in our products.

All Hadley designs start life as an original artwork: a collage, drawing or print. We work hard to make sure everything we make feels right and intentional, . We love to add unexpected little details to our products; a fun collaged element or bonus illustration.

We manufacture our products thoughtfully in as eco-friendly a way as possible. We print all our paper products in the UK on high quality recycled and eco-friendly boards. We are just starting to cautiously manufacture outside the UK in as eco friendly a way as possible, shipping them plastic free and carbon offset.

Our products are processed, picked and packed by the hardworking team at our UK warehouse.

Our team

Jo, Director

I run Hadley and make illustrations from my attic studio (affectionately called the Hamsters Nest). I come from a long line of artists and have been drawing, painting and creating for as long as I can remember.

Before I started Hadley, I was an antique dealer in London. The shapes, colours and textures of the pieces I sourced were a constant source of inspiration for my artwork and I loved learning the history of design and manufacture by handling things directly. I started to build up a range of things I had made to sell on my stall until finally I decided it was time to stop selling beautiful things that other people had made, and start selling just the beautiful things that I had made!

I have a lot of fun in the studio. Sometimes designs are hand-painted or printed from a block, pieces might be snipped out of old books or magazines. I’m a proper antique nerd still, even though it’s not my career any more, you’ll find little bits of historical ephemera woven through all Hadley designs.

Jua, Design

Jua is the design whizz behind the scenes - making all the yellows yellow enough and adding wiggles where needed. They've got a great eye for playful design backed up by an attention to detail.

Originally from Belfast, Jua moved to Devon to study illustration and has been here ever since. In his spare time you can find him making ceramics and comics, sea swimming and hitting the dancefloor.

Anna, Sales

Anna is our main contact for all of our wonderful stockists. She works tirelessly to make sure you all have what you need, and to work on connecting Hadley to more and more brands and stockists.

With a background in knitwear and business studies, Anna has worked across print design, fashion retail and homewares. She still loves all things textiles and upholstery, and brings a genuine love of independent businesses to Hadley.

Nadia, Merchandising and Fulfilment

In 2019 Nadia joined the Hadley team. She is the driving force behind the business, keeping the warehouse running smoothly. She's also an ace bellydancer, mum of boys and lives in the snazziest house you'll ever see.

Anet, Warehouse team

Anet will pick and pack your order, making sure everything reaches you in the correct amount and perfectly in tact. She also runs her own gardening business and loves running.

Charlie, Marketing

Charlie is passionate about communicating and keeping our marketing funny, attractive and relevant; making sure you get to know all you need about Hadley and having a chuckle along the way.

She's a photographer and videographer by trade (rather useful for us). A midlands lass who moved to Totnes for the sea, creative vibes and witchery!

Emma, Operations & Sustainability

Emma runs our Head Office in Totnes, keeping us all on track and ensuring our business runs as a well oiled machine that cares about the planet and our people, as much as our products and profit.

Having recently moved back to her hometown, Emma is embracing Devon life - swimming in the River Dart, hiking the moors and cosying up with a book. She loves the occasional festival/rave but is currently prioritising mothering young tots, so they're a bit few and far between.
